Professor Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai Vice Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University inaugurated the 4th Vice Chancellor Trophy Tape Ball Cricket Tournament 2009-2010. 56 teams from different departments are participating in the tournament which will be played on knock out basis. The Chief Guest was received by the Sports Committee of the University. In his address the Chief Guest appreciated the mass participation of students in this tournament. He advised the students to come forward and take part in the games along with their studies.

He quoted that physical activities bring change and modification in the behavior of an individual. He also said that sound mind is in a sound body and an enfeebled body enervated the mind. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts made by Directorate of Sports to organize this tournament.

The Vice Chancellor announced to award cash prize to the first three teams @ Rs.20000/- Rs.10000/- and Rs.5000/-. He also directed the Sports Director to start a football tournament after the completion of this tournament.
