of university students pay regular visits to enjoy the magnificent scenery.
Central

Raziuddin Siddiqi in 1996 as Dr. Raziuddin Siddiqi Memorial Library) devotes
considerable efforts and resources to the development of an outstanding
library collection to cater the needs of its patrons and serves as the
regional reference library. DRSM library is a pioneer public sector university
of this region in offering dedicated services for the use of computerized
retrieval of bibliographic library database i.e. Online Public Access
Catalogue (OPAC) containing thousands of updated monographic records along
with the card catalogue. Through OPAC, the intellectual property of the
university is made readily available to academicians, researchers, and
students as and when required by them.
As, the presence of a fully resourced library is considered to be indispensable
for a teaching and research institution. In order to meet the needs of
students, faculty member and researchers, a centralized library system
was adopted. With the completion of multi-story building of Central Library
as a focal point of information resource center in 1985, departmental
libraries were merged into it. Where as after one or one and half decade,
again the decentralized library system is emerging in a shape of Seminars
Libraries in various departments of University because teachers and students
some time need everything within easy approach. Therefore, they prefer
a decentralized set-up. Now following departments have established Seminar
libraries :
o Anthropology Dept.
o Biology Dept.
o Chemistry Dept.
o Defense and Strategic Studies Dept.
o Economics Dept
o History Dept
o Physics Dept.
