Islamabad
Journal of Science aims to publish original
high standard research papers and review articles
on Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer
Sciences, Earth Sciences, Electronics, Mathematics,
Physics and Statistics.
Manuscripts in the paper should be written according
to the following Format:
The submission should be in English typed in
double spacing and on one side of the paper.
Mathematical expressions must be carefully printed.
Computer composed manuscripts on floppy disks
in MS-Office 2000 or LatexlScientific- Workplace
would be needed for rapid publication. The cover
page should be consisted of title of the paper,
author's names and place and an abstract. The
abstract' should comprise a brief and factual
summary of the contents. Paper should be divided
into introduction section, formulation of the
problem, results and discussion sections. References
should be
numbered in the text.
For
example, "Number of authors have studied
[1-3J ... " and the references [I] to [3]
must be written at the end of the paper in the
Reference section in the following style:
[1] W.A. Bonner, J. Am. Chem. Soc., 70, 3491(1948).
[2] R Loudon, The Quantum Theary of light, (Third
Edition), Oxford University Press, Oxford
(2001).
[3] Y. Kakino, Proc. Int. on Cutting Tool Materials
Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Sep. 25(1980).
Diagrams must be in black ink or on tracing
paper in duplicate. However, PostScript(PS)
or Paint-Brush(BMP) type files printable to
A4-size paper are also acceptable. Lengthy or
many data tables should be avoided. For diagrams,
a separate list of captions should be given
at the end of the manuscript.
Work included ill the manuscript done by the
author in other laboratories should be clearly
acknowledged.
The editors would accept contributions prepared
on disk. Disk and hard copy versions of the
manuscript should be identical. The disk should
be clearly labeled with the manuscript title,
author's name and the software package used.
The authors will be entitled to have a free
copy of the published journal, however additional
copies of the journal can be bought on payment.
Proofs will be sent to the author for cOlTections
and should be returned promptly.
Manuscripts in triplicate and all queries should
be addressed to editors.
Subscription, renewals, change of address, and
single copy orders should be addressed to the

The annual; subscription rate for 2 years is
Rs. for Pakistan and
for foreign cOUlltries. Price per copy is Rs.

respectively. Postage is extra. Postage charges
outside Pakistan are per issue.

The Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan,
publishes Islamabad Joumal of Science bi-annually
in June and December. Contributions to this
Journal are published free of charge and should

University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
