Research for Electronics
On the Faculty of Electronics you can get two specialties: Automation
and Electronics. All students of the Electronics Faculty during
the first two years of the Master's Degree program are studying
fundamental sciences and humanities according to the study programs
of their specialty. After two years of successful studies the
students are offered to chose a specialization. Studies for Master
and Doctor Degrees and Diploma Engineer Certificate in Electronic
Engineering.
Research
Laboratory of Electronics
Research Lab comprises 8 principal investigators
and a total of approximately 50 faculty, students, and staff.
Government sources, private foundations, research institutions,
and corporations fund research in Lab. Primary sponsors include
the Department of Defense, the National Institutes of Health,
and the National Science Foundation. Nearly 200 grants and contracts
support the activities of Electronics Lab.
The
research and associated learning environment of Research Lab is
one of the most rewarding in the world. Lab investigators place
special emphasis on incorporating students into their activities.
This Lab is the home to more graduate research assistants than
any other research organization at MIT. Lab funds over 200 graduate
students annually to engage them in both fundamental and applied
research. Nearly 100 undergraduates also participate in the broad
array of scholarly opportunities the laboratory offers.
