M.Phil. Courses
The objective of M.Phil. Computer Science programme is to train students to initiate research work. The duration of M.Phil programme is two years and students have to earn 50 credit hours, 24 credit hours for the course work and 26 credit hours for research thesis. During the first two semesters students are required to complete the course work. The course work will set the basic ground to start research. The courses are designed in such a way that during the course work students will be exposed to research activities. Students will register for a research topic in the 3rd semester and will complete the research work by the end of the 4th semester. The research work will be submitted in the form of a thesis. The minimum duration of research work is two semesters and 26 credit hours are awarded after the evaluation of the thesis. Each course in the M.Phil. programme is of 3 credit hours. For the course work, students are required to take 3 compulsory courses, and the remaining 5 courses are taken from the list of optional courses.
