| ELIGIBILITY |
| The applicants
must possess at least a second class Bachelor’s degree
or its equivalent from a recognized University subject to
the condition that they meet the requirements of major subjects
passed for the Bachelor’s degree as given in Appendix-A
of the Prospectus. Admission will be made on merit. Basic
requirement for applying is 2nd class Bachelor degree. Those
already holding Master degree shall not be eligible for admission.
Candidates who are more than 26 years old shall not be eligible
for admission unless relaxation is granted by the Vice-Chancellor
for special reasons on the recommendations of the Chairperson
of the respective Department. No relaxation in age
limit will be granted for MBA. Priority of subjects
once opted shall not be changed under any circumstances. |

| INELIGIBILITY |
The following are not eligible for admission to Master’s
program:-
i) Those who have failed in Master’s Program of this University.
ii) Those who have ceased to be a student of this University.
iii) Those who already possess a Master’s or an equivalent
degree from this or any other University.
iv) Students who are already on rolls of the M.Sc. Program of
this University.
NOTE In case of incorrect/misleading information or concealment
of facts, the University will have the right to refuse/cancel
the admission and expel the student from the University. |

| SEATS AVAILABLE ON
ON REGULAR BASIS |
| A limited number of seats on regular
basis (normal fee), are available in all the departments except
MBA, Computer Science and Economics, to be filled strictly
on merit subject to regional quota. All seats in M.Sc. Gender
Studies will be filled on regular basis as per regional quota/merit.

| APTITUDE TEST FOR MBA,
PAKISTAN STUDIES, COMPUTER SCIENCE, INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS,
GENDER STUDIES, ELECTRONICS, PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY ONLY. |
For admission to MBA, Pakistan Studies,
Computer Science, International Relations, Gender Studies
Electronics, Physics & Chemistry applicants will be
required to take an Aptitude Test and pass it with at least
40% marks. Only those who pass the aptitude test will be
considered for admission which will be determined purely
on merit basis without giving any credit to the test score.

| EQUIVALENCE CERTIFICATES
AND CONVERSION OF GRADES INTO MARKS |
| Candidates having foreign certificates/degrees
should provide equivalence certificates and conversion of
the grades into marks from HEC, Islamabad, for Bachelor level
degrees and from Inter Board Committee for Matric and Intermediate
level. Certificates/Degrees with GPA of local Universities/Institutions
also required to be converted into marks from the concerned
Universities/Institutions in Pakistan. |

| Admission Forms along with relevant documents (in triplicate)
should reach the Admission Section of the University by 26-08-2008
during the office hours. No call up letter will be sent separately.
Data of all applicants will be available on University website
on/after 30-08-2008.

Rs.700/- in favour of the Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University,
Islamabad to the Manager, Book Bank Book Shop of the University.

| HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION |
A limited number of seats in the University
Hostels for male students are available which will be provided
on first come first serve basis.
Hostel accommodation for female students shall only be provided,
if available.
