Academic Programs
Degree programs
Among the developments being planned in the academic programs of the IIT, efforts are being made to ensure an optimal mix of applied and theoretical aspects of computation, research and development without losing sight of the significance of writing and other forms of communication. The intention is to make the IIT demand-driven and yet protect its niche in basic and pure science. Already a model of IT curricula has been developed by the IT curricula Committee of Higher Education Commission under the convener ship of Prof. Dr. Farhana Shah, Director of IIT. It can be adapted to the emerging trends of interactive applications to overcome the short supply of skilled manpower.
