University’s good governance can also be judged by the regular meetings of Statutory Bodies. Registrar Office during 2010
and 2011, regularly conducted meetings of the Syndicate, Selection Board, Advance Studies & Research Board and Academic
Council to discuss and decide policy and commonmatters.
The Advanced Studies & Research Board (AS&RB) is the highest body which deals with the matters connected with the
promotion of advanced studies and research in the University. The purpose of the Board is to recognize, facilitate and promote
research and scholarships at QAU. The University has a reputation of academic excellence based on impressive record of
achievements both in teaching and research. The research carried out by scholars has been acknowledged internationally.
In the years 2010 and 2011, twenty two (22) meetings of the AS&RB were held wherein along with the regular agenda; various
decisions regarding admission to postgraduate level weremade which are depicted as follows:
