The Institute in general and its research faculty in particular has a vast network of foreign academic linkages by virtue of its bi-
annual research journals, international seminars, conferences and lectures. It is the prerequisite for all these academic
activities to coordinate and establish academic linkages with international educational organizations / institutes /
universities/ departments. The institute regularly sends research papers to international referees having expertise in
particular subject for review purpose.

Funding Grants for R&D: Being an R&D organization, the Institute has been provided regular funding by the Higher
Education Commission.
Research Staff of NIHCR:
Presently the Institute has research staff consisting of four Senior Research Fellows (BPS-19) and six Research Fellows
(BPS-18) working under the Director. To increase the strength on research side Principal Research Fellows (BPS-20)
and Professorial Research Fellows (BPS-21) are required to be filled.

Books: NIHCR has published so far 69 books in English and 25 in Urdu.
Biannual Journals
The Institute has published so far XXIX volume of its biannual journal Pakistan Journal of History and Culture and XVIII
volume of UrduMajallah Tarikh wa Saqafat Pakistan since 1980 and 1990 respectively.
