Dr. Salma Malik, Assistant Professor was awarded University Research Fund for 2011-12. She also received nominations
for the membership of Consortium for South Asian Think Tanks, National ARF Unit, established by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Pakistan and ARF headquarters and International Institute of Strategic Studies.
Dr. Ilhan Niaz received best Non-Fiction Book of 2010 Award, Karachi Literature Festival (British Council-Oxford
University Press), for the Culture of Power and Governance of Pakistan, 1947-2008 (Karachi: Oxford University Press, 2010,
Fakhar Bilal won an online survey of British Council and HEC partnership for academics in on November 2011 in
Islamabad. He also successfully completed Ph.D course work at QAU.
Fouzia Frooq Ahmad submitted her Ph.D thesis for international evaluation
Dr. Irum Murtaza received travel grant award for best research article, by the International Union of Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology (IUBMB)
Dr. Muhammad Ansar received Bio-Vision 2011 Fellowship Award for participation in Bio-Vision 2011 Life Sciences
Forum, Lyon, France (26th -30th March, 2011) and 3 World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) travel grant to attend Bio-
Vision Life Sciences Forum
