QAU >> Admissions >>Merit Criteria and Aptitude Test (Master’s programme)

Students will have to take-up Pre-admission Aptitude Test for admission to disciplines of Archaeology, Chemistry, Computer Science, DSS, Electronics, History, Gender Studies, MBA/MPA(NTS NAT II-A), Pakistan Studies, Politics and International Relations, Physics, Psychology. The applicants are required to take an Aptitude Test and pass it with at least 40% marks as per schedule announced. The applicants who pass the aptitude test will be considered for admission which will be determined purely on merit basis without giving any credit to the test score.

Candidates appearing for the Test must bring original CNIC and Admission Form Receipt, for identification. The collection of the slips for the admission test is the prime responsibility of the applicants. Applicants, who fail to receive their slips, three days prior to the test, must contact the Admission Section.

Formula For Calculating Merit

MOAC = 800 x (MOF/TM + MOB/TM) + HQ

Where
MOAC = Marks of Academic Career out of 1600
MOF = Marks obtained in FA/FSc
MOB = Marks obtained in BA/ BSc/ BCom/ BBA
TM = Total Marks in the relevant Examination
HQ = Hafiz Quran (20 marks)
